The Bethlehem Baptist Church Elders have approved the first sabbatical for Pastor Kenny Stokes since he entered full-time vocational ministry in 1998 and came to Bethlehem in 1998. From January 18 through April 30, he will be stepping away from his day-to-day responsibilities as Lead Pastor for Spreading/Downtown Campus Pastor.
Pastor Kenny will be focusing primarily on extended times of rest and refection with his wife and family. He also hopes to put energy into:
1) Gaining a unified sense of direction for the next ten years of life and ministry
2) Reading, reflecting and writing on Christian community
3) Writing a biblical foundation of multiple campuses for Bethlehem
4) Capturing thoughts and insights from devotions and reflections on his blog,
'Wilderness Mercies'
5) Researching and compiling the Stokes Family History
